Aquarius Software announces the entry of new shareholders as the next step of its Strategic Business Plan focused on the Digital Transformation Era.
Aquarius Software Ltda., a Brazilian national capital company, announces the next step of its Strategic Business Plan focused on the Digital Transformation opportunities of the industry for the 2017-2020 term. The investments include hiring new professionals aligned with the Industrial Automation and IT segment, the development of solutions and services focused on the target activity of all Brazilian industrial segments and the expansion of professional consulting and training services, in addition to the strengthening of strategic alliances with global technology providers in this market.
“We have gone through 2015 and 2016 as most Brazilian companies, following the economic scenario and our customers very closely. In the meantime, we’re working on the next step of our Strategic Plan, which includes the corporate restructuring as one of our priorities. We ended 2016 with satisfactory financial results, which drove our decision to move forward and take Aquarius to a new level”, says Mario Simas, the director responsible for the development of new businesses.
One of the company’s management hallmarks shared by all partners is the development of people – “We encourage our employees to have a shareholder point of view, being aware of the challenges and the business return potential” – said Fernando Costa, CEO of Aquarius Software. Two clear examples are the distribution of part of the profits and the employees’ participation in some crucial decisions of the company’s life.
Based on this vision, three Aquarius business executives were invited to join the company’s corporate structure. Moreover, a new Management-Financial Director, Maria de Lourdes de Oliveira, was appointed.
Known by clients, partners, and suppliers for their expertise, Carlos Paiola, Márcia Campos, and Ricardo Caruso are the new Aquarius’ shareholders since April of this year.
Carlos Paiola holds a degree in Electrical Engineering and a Master’s degree in Automation and Control Engineering at Escola Politécnica da Universidade de São Paulo (Poli-USP) and he’s the director of the São Paulo’s Section of ISA (The International Society of Automation). He was the commercial manager of Aquarius Software and now, as a partner, he started to work as Commercial Director, focused on advising the channels and clients on the fourth industrial revolution journey. “Our professionals work as solution architects who, along with service and technology partners, design and deliver the most appropriate option for every customer need. Let’s expand this division and embrace this challenge with great excitement”, says Paiola.
Márcia Campos graduated in Computer Science at Universidade Estadual de Campinas (UNICAMP), holding an MBA in Business Management at Fundação Getúlio Vargas (FGV) with more than 30 years of experience in the industrial automation technical and commercial areas, being the author of several specialized papers. At Aquarius Software, she served as account manager in the oil and gas segment and is the company’s Executive Director. Now she’s part of the corporate structure with a 360o view of the entire operation. “The word that better describes my feelings is excitement. Participating in decisions and having more autonomy to conduct the operation will allow us to build a new scenario for growth and strengthening of the strategic partnerships”, explains Campos.
Ricardo Caruso is taking a master’s degree in Operations Management at Faculdade de Economia, Administração e Contabilidade da Universidade de São Paulo (FEA-USP) and he holds an automation and control engineering graduate degree at Poli-USP. He has been working with industrial optimization and management systems for 12 years in applications of various industrial segments. He is the author of papers on operations management, artificial intelligence, and advanced manufacturing. He was also the technical manager of Aquarius Software and assumes the position of Technical Director. “I was invited to participate in the society with great enthusiasm. The industrial technologies are undergoing profound changes and our customers need to quickly decide how and which to adopt in order to acquire or even to maintain their competitive advantage”, says Caruso.
According to Fernando Costa, CEO of the company, the entry of the three new shareholders, besides solving a concern with the succession, ensures that the company is competitive by maintaining talents that are highly rated in the market. “In a company based on services such as ours, the main assets are the people. Therefore, we cultivate the intrapreneurship and we value the talents”, says Costa.
The customers and business partners can expect a dynamic, market-driven company aligned with the new technologies for the industry.
